Philip’s three approaches are concentrated on only two of its four runway ends, so instrument arrivals are provided on selected alignments rather than across the full runway configuration. The two RNAV (GPS) procedures form the majority, while the VOR procedure provides a non-GPS option. With no airport diagram published, the chart set is centred on approaches and minima rather than a dedicated layout sheet.
Both runways are under 4,000 ft. The asphalt alignment provides the greatest available length, while choosing the turf runway reduces that length by 410 ft. Among nearby fields, Pierre Regional has markedly broader procedure coverage; Cheyenne Eagle Butte is closer to Philip’s scale, while Martin Municipal and Rosebud Sioux Tribal have thinner sets.
