NAC, National Airways Corporation, was the main domestic carrier in New Zealand prior to the 1978 Merger with Air New Zealand. The "Wings of the Nation" color scheme was predominant in the 1970's before the merger saw the Koru addition to the tail while keeping the same red/orange colors on the domestic 737's and F27's into the early 1980's.
The international fleet of 737's and eventually the domestic fleet as well throughout the 1980's were painted from the orange/red livery to the Teal/Blue colors to match the Air New Zealand international jets.
This was replaced in the late 1990's by the current "pacific Wave" livery.
The Teal/blue livery is also available at flightsim.com as a repaint by Henry William, nz327vl.zip. Original by Erick Cantu, FDE by Mike Baumann
