SPANTAX Douglas DC-3 EC-AQE recreates C-47B-1-DK c/n 25641, built in 1944 and flown by the early Spanish Air Tax fleet, with authentic SPANTAX markings plus custom-tuned flight dynamics and a period-correct virtual cockpit feel for FS2004. The package reflects the airframe’s real-world history, including its Madrid-Barajas training accident in 1972.

A vintage twin-engine propeller aircraft with Spantax livery and registration EC-AQE is parked on a concrete airport apron.

Model C-47B-1-DK, C/N 25641 built in 1944 by the Oklahoma City production plant, ex 43-48380. This plane was destroyed 30/09/72 in a training accident at Madrid-Barajas Airport. SPANTAX (Spanish Air Tax Lineas Aereas S.A.) was founded 06-10-59 by Rudolf Bay Wright and his early fleet was built with nine DC3's. Original by John Kelly. Repaint and flight dynamics by Daniel Nole.
