description=DC-2-115A (c/n 1317) PH-AJU 'Uiver', was the first DC-2 assembled by Fokker in August of 1934. In October 1934 KLM decided to enter the 'Uiver' in the MacRobertson Air Race between London and Melbourne. Out of the 20 entrants the DC-2 finished second only behind the purpose built de Havilland DH.88 racer and won the handicap section of the race.
