KTYS McGhee Tyson Airport AFCAD2 update sharpens airport operations in FS2004 with realistic gate and ramp parking across the main terminal, general aviation, cargo, and military areas. Airline stands sit close to real-world positions, helping AI traffic park logically while keeping the north-side GA apron spacious and organized.

KTYS, McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville, Tennessee (TN). Realistic parking assignments for main terminal along with GA, cargo and military parking spots in the proper part of the airport. Please see readme file regarding tweaks for gate assignments. By Bob Bernstein.

Installation:

Copy .BGL file to your /addon scenery/scenery directory in FS2004.
Remove or overwrite any duplicate AFCAD2 for KTYS.

Parking spots at the terminal are as close as possible for airline assignments. If you have flight plans for Independence Air, please assign United or United Express parking codes to your plane as AFCAD2 does not accommodate Independence Air.

Cargo parking and military parking are on the proper side of the airport. There's plenty of GA parking to the north of the terminal.

Feel free to adjust and tweak and re-upload w/out credit or permission. I'd suggest adding some overflow parking if you find the gates full. If your gates are not full, but traffic is in the wrong spot, you might check your airline parking code in your aircraft.cfg file.

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per readme

FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
