Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

A remake and design of this famous Russian airliner. The basic IL62 aircraft was simply too difficulty to operate. Includes English 2D cockpit and powered up engines. Thanks to those who made the basic aircraft. Smoke file included for realistic smoke and heat effects. Repaint and cockpit by Per Neis and Aircraft.cfg by Kim Schandorff.

Installation:

  • Simply unzip the aircraft file to your desktop and put the il_62 folder in to your simobjects/Aircraft folder.
  • Copy the Realistic smoke and heatfile inside the smokefolder.Put it into the main effects FSX folder. You will now have black smoke and Heat after the engines once you power up the engines. Remember to press "I" for the smoke. It can take up to 30 Seconds.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme
