This is a complete and flyable aircraft with panel and sounds, using the defaults of the B737-800. This shiny McDonnell Douglas DC-8-52 features extra bright navigation lights and engine exhaust smoke. Includes an up to date specially made customized lightmap for passenger windows which are all correctly illuminated at nighttime. The"tell-tail"lights illuminate from the horizontal stabilizer. Installation:

  • Make use of your Windows explorer (Start, All Programs, Desktop Accessories, Windows explorer) to unzip this downloaded file "Douglas - DC-8-52 Stellweg Airlines DF-WDD. ZIP" into:
    C:\Temp
  • Drag (or copy) the yellow folder called "Douglas - DC-8-52 Stellweg Airlines DF-WDD" into:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Simobjects\Airplanes
  • Don't forget to drag (or copy) the contents only, of the yellow Effects folder (fx_smoke_exhaust_TheDFWgroup.fx) into here:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects
  • Overwrite when asked.

When finished unpacking and/or dragging, start-up the Flight Simulator X and find this aircraft under manufacturer"Douglas" were this aircraft's thumbnail is shown. Happy landings!
