Technical Insights

This repaint is tailored for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and utilizes the default 737-800 model. For best results, ensure that all original system files and panel configurations remain unaltered. This repaint only modifies textures, leaving core flight dynamics unchanged. The inscribed virtual cockpit and 2D panel remain as delivered by the default aircraft package.

Implementation Steps

  1. Locate your simulator directory and open: SimObjects > Airplanes > b737-800.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
