FSX VX-23 And VF-101 Lockheed F-35B/C Update

VX-23 Salty Dogs and VF-101 Grim Reapers F-35B/C repaints bring sharper unit markings to Dino Cattaneo’s Lightning II, including restored USA roundels and photo-referenced tweaks to DT-1 jets seen aboard USS Nimitz in 2014, plus a VF-101 line scheme for the F-35C. Requires F35V230.ZIP for FSX.

Update adds missing USA roundels and other minor texture edits to VX-23 F-35Cs based on photos of DT-1 onboard the USS Nimitz in November 2014. Also added VF-101 Grim Reapers F-35C (Line) paint. Original: FSX VX-23 Salty Dogs Lockheed-Martin F-35B/C (VX-23-1.ZIP). Lockheed-Martin F-35B and C paints of the VX-23 Salty Dogs. The F-35B and F-35C versions depicted made successful VTOL and conventional carrier takeoffs and landings in 2014 as part of DT 1 and 2 by the USMC and USN. These repaints depict the aircraft flown by VX-23 in support of DTE-1 and 2 for the Dino Cattaneo F-35 Lightning II (F35V230.ZIP). By Tom Wilson.

Installation:

  • Place the Sim Objects/Airplanes folder inside of your main FSX/FS2004 directory.
  • Copy/paste appropriate F-35B and F-35C aircraft.cfg entries as given below.
  • Enjoy!
