Extract the downloaded archive
Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files. -
Copy into Aircraft folder
Place the aircraft folder intoX-Plane 12/Aircraft/(orX-Plane 11/Aircraft/). -
Restart X-Plane
Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically. -
