KSLC - Salt Lake City Intl Airport 2020, Utah, USA by Ray Smith

Salt Lake 2020 SceneryI have been asked many times could I do an update for SLC, knowing there were going to be major changes there I held off until now when someone sent me a plan for the new terminal layout and its taxiways, so here is my interpretation of what it may look like in 2020.

This is a version of Salt Lake City Intl Airport with two optional files and made only for FSX, do not use in P3D: There is one version with the Crosswind runway 14/32 operating where all 4 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default airport runway operation, The new south terminal A and north concourse B have been designed similar to the plan I have, I also had to take a guess at which airlines will park where so may not be accurate on opening day, as a Delta hub they are only assigned to terminal A, most other airlines are assigned to the north concourse B, transient parking is retained in the same place, the north cargo ramp and buildings updated, runway 17/35 is now parallel with 16L/34R which is also part of the upgrade plan, and the approaches for it aligned with the new position, all other approaches and frequencies updated to the latest charts where needed, extra fuel trucks, Helipads/start locations now in their correct positions, De-icing pads added, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

Please Note: There is no support if used in P3D.

There are 3 BGL files: KSLC_RS.BGL, KSLC_CW_RS.BGL and a KSLC_CVX.bgl file

Runway Operation Files:

The KSLC_CW_RS.BGL file is with the Crosswind runway 14/32 activated where all 4 runways will be used Simultaneously.
The KSLC_RS.BGL file is the same as the default airport runway operation.

Assigned parking is the same in both files.

To Install:

If you are using my earlier version please remove/delete these files first including the "KSLC_ADE_OBJ.BGL" (if used) that was placed in the
"FSX\Scenery\Global\scenery" folder, if you would rather keep them move them to another folder not associated with FSX.

1. Take the runway operation file of your choice (only one) and the KSLC_CVX.bgl file and place both of these files into:

Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/scenery folder

2. Open the "Jetway textures" folder:

Take the "2" textures from that folder and "PASTE" them into:

FSX/Addon Scenery/texture folder.

3. The new terminal/concourses need 15 textures added for it to show in FSX, to add these textures for the concourses please follow these steps:

"Browse" to the FSX\Scenery\NAMC\texture folder, go down the list until you see these 15 files:

atlb.dds
atlb_lm.dds
atlbSpecular.dds
atlc.dds
atlc_lm.dds
atlcSpecular.dds
atld.dds
atld_lm.dds
atldSpecular.dds
atle.dds
atle_lm.dds
atleSpecular.dds
atlf.dds
atlf_lm.dds
atlfSpecular.dds

"COPY" them from that folder and "PASTE" them into the Addon Scenery/texture folder

Please make sure you have "COPIED" the right textures into the texture folder

4. Start up the Flight Sim and the changes will be present

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE ONLY USE THESE KSLC.BGL FILES AT ANY TIME FOR KSLC:
i.e: make sure there are only a KSLC runway operation file and the KSLC_CVX.bgl file in the Addon Scenery/scenery folder at any time, remove/delete any other KSLC.bgl file to avoid incorrect aircraft parking and other airport conflicts.

If you have any AI Traffic Addons please make sure they have "NOT" installed an Afcad for this airport as this will also cause a conflict.

To Uninstall:

1. Delete/remove the BGL files and the default airport will then be active.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

FedEx Air Terminal on the North side must put on it the building of FedEx Ship Service and Parking Ramp Cargo close to DH and UPS. Do you know that? Look at Google Maps images.

I down loaded your file, but the building is green. Any help?
