FSX Australia And Norfolk Island Scenery

Australia and Norfolk Island landclass refreshes regional terrain placement to better match real-world patterns, delivering more believable coastlines, farmland, and urban areas during spring, summer, and fall flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Optimized as a direct FSX conversion of earlier files, it enhances the default landscape while preserving the simulator’s stock texture set.

Australia And Norfolk Island landclass. Best used in spring, summer and fall. Does not remove all the unrealistic dry desert-like textures. By Ian Thatcher.

Landclass for Australia and Norfolk Island - FSX ONLY.

This is a modified version of my FS2004 Landclass Files for Australia & Norfolk Island that can now be used in FSX.

This landclass is best used in Spring, Summer and Fall seasons as I find the winter textures in FSX are not anything like the real thing.

PLEASE NOTE: This landclass does NOT remove all the unrealistic dry desert like textures as this is a Texture problem that can only be fixed if someone upgrades the Default FSX textures so look more realistic.

*** Installation *** Please just copy and paste the two (2) BGL files into your "\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\BASE\Scenery" Folder.

Cheers.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
