FSX Birchwood-Pocono Scenery
Birchwood-Pocono (02PN) brings a once-private resort airstrip in Pennsylvania back to life with custom airport scenery, terrain flattening, and period character based on real-world reference. Designed for FSX, it highlights an overlooked U.S. field for relaxed VFR flying and nostalgic exploration among the Poconos.

Birchwood-Pocono was built by the owner of the late Pocono Airlines as part of a grand resort. The resort and airstrip were closed in the mid-90's. This is another Sharkey attempt to revive closed or unknown airports in the US.
A couple years back, I ran into a website called "Abandoned and Little Known Airfields" by Paul Freeman. There I saw airports that I had not seen in many years. In some cases, I had only seen their ruins. It inspired me to create these airports in FS. This site has become my inspiration and reference "jumping off" point in a lot of my designs.
INSTALLATION:
All but one file go into /Addon Scenery/Scenery;
AFX_02PN_ALT.bgl goes into /Scenery/World/Scenery
That file is a Flatten file that will be needed to - Oh, I don't know... flatten.
ISSUES:
I'd love to actually add the resort to this scenery. Look for an update.
AS ALWAYS:
I hope you enjoy this as much as I. I welcome CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and help. I do this as a hobby and, as such, charge nothing. If satisfied, drop me a line. If dissatisfied, let me know and feel free to delete it or dive-bomb on it.
