AAEE Foulness. A fictitious scenery that assumes both A&AEE and the RAF built an airfield on Foulness Island in Essex shortly after WWI. Versions are provided for both VFR and default scenery. Consists of airfield, hangars, workshops, office and accomodation buildings, helicopter base, seaplane base and small harbour, magazine areas, fuel dump, ammunition and fuel jetties, surface to air missile defence batteries, and three helicopter landable Leander class frigates at sea. A large number of models were constructed for this, but it also requires the download of third party libraries. Provided in modular format so that you can use as much or as little as you wish. This is an entirely fictitious airfield on Foulness Island in Essex, at the Mouth of the River Thames. It was built for my own pleasure and use, but if others get enjoyment from using it I will be very happy. Please read both the history documents in the manual, as I do not think an airfield here is implausible.

The scenery is primarily made for use in FSX with Acceleration, and has not been tested in any other version of Flight Simulator. Two versions are provided, one for use with VFR Real Scenery, and one for use with the default scenery. It has not been tested with Horizon VFR scenery, but providing the mesh/mapping is identical or close to VFR Real Scenery there should not be a problem as I see it. Note this is not guaranteed as I do not have Horizon scenery.

The scenery is modular in construction which allows you to delete or incorporate areas as you wish. Please see the separate note on options in the Manual for this.

There are a large number of models that I have constructed myself, and these are provided in library form so that others may use them if they wish. The download of free third party libraries is also required. See the manual.

Please read the installation instructions in the manual carefully!

Construction
The scenery was constructed using Airport Design Editor, ADE9X by Jon Masterson, FS Design Studio 3.5.1 by Abacus, SBuilderX by Louis Sa, Instant Scenery by Flight 1, Paint Shop Pro X by Corel, DXTbmp by Martin Wright, Google Earth, Wikimapia and textures from CGtextures.

These files should not harm you or your computer, but you use them entirely at your own risk!

Finally - This scenery has taken many hours to complete, and at times has caused much frustration. I started this for my own benefit, and overall have enjoyed creating it. As with all things I realise there could be improvement, but I am content with it as it is. I have decided to upload so that those who may find it of interest have the chance to use it. I hope you enjoy flying from Foulness. If by any chance you do not like this scenery - JUST DELETE IT!
