Which simulator version and platform should you buy for?
Buy only an LFPG package explicitly listed for your simulator generation and platform.
- MSFS 2020 on PC: Both installer-based and manual
Communitypackages may be available, depending on the product. - MSFS 2024 on PC: Do not assume every MSFS 2020 airport works perfectly. Check for confirmed compatibility, especially for jetways, ground materials and package ordering.
- Xbox and PlayStation: Consoles cannot use manually downloaded
Communitypackages; the scenery must be offered through the simulator's supported content system. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is not available on PlayStation, while Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on PS5.

Does Paris city scenery replace LFPG?
No—Paris city scenery improves the surrounding urban area, not Charles de Gaulle's terminals, stands or taxiways.
On PC, our free Paris city enhancement for approaches to LFPG is useful alongside the default airport or a dedicated LFPG package. Add it only after confirming that the airport works correctly on its own, because overlapping photogrammetry or exclusion areas can complicate troubleshooting.
For shorter Paris-area sectors, the nearby Le Bourget scenery for regional and VFR flights provides a separate detailed destination. It does not modify LFPG.
How do you install LFPG scenery without conflicts?
The safe method is to install one airport replacement first, test it, and add regional scenery afterwards.
- Confirm the package: Check that the download or entitlement names LFPG and supports your exact Microsoft Flight Simulator version.
- Remove competing airports: Disable or move every other third-party LFPG package. Leave the simulator's base airport installed.
- Install the correct folder: For a manual PC package, place the folder containing
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsondirectly insideCommunity. An extra wrapper folder is a common reason scenery does not appear. - Test a clean load: Start at a terminal stand and inspect buildings, taxiway markings, jetways and ground elevation before enabling extra Paris scenery.
- Add surrounding scenery: Enable city or regional packages one at a time. If the simulator exposes package-priority controls, give the dedicated airport priority over a broader regional package.
Why is LFPG scenery doubled, misaligned or slow?
Most broken LFPG installations come from duplicate airport packages, stale cached scenery or a mismatch between scenery geometry and navigation data.
Doubled terminals and floating objects
Two airport renditions are probably active. Search the content library and Community folder for every package mentioning LFPG, Charles de Gaulle or Paris airport scenery, then leave only one enabled. If artefacts remain, rebuild the simulator's rolling cache through its data settings.
Wrong taxiways, gates or procedures
An airport add-on changes visible scenery but does not necessarily update the navigation database used by the flight planner, avionics or ATC. A gate label or taxiway may therefore disagree with a chart or flight plan when the scenery and navigation data represent different airport revisions.
Stutters and low frame rates
Reduce AI traffic, parked aircraft, airport vehicles and object detail before sacrificing texture quality. Charles de Gaulle combines a large terminal complex with dense Paris scenery, so maximal traffic and city detail can overload the main processor thread even when the graphics card has spare capacity.
If pauses appear mainly while turning the camera, test a lower texture or object-detail setting for memory pressure. Change one setting at a time and repeat the same gate, weather and traffic scenario; otherwise the comparison tells you very little.
