If both commercial airports are supported on your simulator and platform, we would buy Aerosoft from scratch. Its balance of terminal modelling, apron coverage and ground presentation makes it the more convincing choice for scheduled airline operations. An existing Taxi2Gate owner should change only for a specific improvement, not simply to have a newer-looking package.
At Charles de Gaulle, operational accuracy matters more than decorative interiors. Check the depicted taxiway layout, stand positions, runway markings, working jetways, night lighting and update history. LFPG is large enough that excessive terminal interiors, parked aircraft and landside detail can also carry a measurable performance cost. Does Taxi2Gate LFPG work in MSFS 2024?
A Taxi2Gate package made for MSFS 2020 may load in MSFS 2024, but that does not prove full compatibility.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 can use many packages created for the earlier simulator, yet airports expose problems that simpler scenery may not: broken jetway animations, incorrect terrain cuts, missing materials, misplaced ground services and duplicated default objects. Treat an explicit MSFS 2024 compatibility statement from the product listing or update notes as the requirement for a new purchase.
The same rule applies to Aerosoft. A familiar product name, 2020 screenshots or successful installation are not substitutes for confirmed support. With MSFS 2024 on Sim Update 5 from April 2026, launch-era compatibility reports may also pre-date changes made to the simulator.
If a package advertises a visual docking guidance system or another external component, confirm that component supports MSFS 2024 as well. PC-side executables and utilities cannot be used on consoles.
Which LFPG version can you install on PC, Xbox and PlayStation?
PC can use manual and installer-based LFPG packages, while consoles require scenery distributed through the simulator’s supported content system.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 was never released on PlayStation. MSFS 2024 reached PS5 and PS5 Pro on 8 December 2025, but that does not make every PC or Xbox scenery purchase available there. Product availability, compatibility and purchase entitlement are separate questions, so verify all three before paying.
Does Paris city scenery replace LFPG scenery?
No. Paris city scenery changes the surrounding urban area, not Charles de Gaulle’s airport buildings, stands, taxiways or ground textures.

Install and test the airport first, then add the city package; this makes an exclusion or photogrammetry conflict much easier to identify.

How do you install LFPG scenery without conflicts?
The reliable method is to establish a clean airport first and introduce surrounding scenery one package at a time.
- Confirm the exact edition: The package must name your simulator generation and platform. Do not use an MSFS 2020 label as proof of MSFS 2024 support.
- Remove competing LFPG packages: Check both installed content and the active
Communityfolder for Aerosoft, Taxi2Gate, freeware or older test versions. Leave only one third-party LFPG rendition enabled. - Use the intended installation route: Run the supplied installer or install supported in-simulator content through its library. Do not copy installer-managed or encrypted packages manually.
- Check manual folder depth: For a conventional manual package, the folder containing
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsonshould normally sit directly insideCommunity. An extra wrapper folder is a common reason scenery never appears. - Verify the active Community location: A custom Packages location or separate MSFS 2020 and 2024 installations can leave several folders on the same PC. Put the package in the location the simulator actually reads.
- Test LFPG by itself: Load a terminal stand and inspect buildings, taxiway markings, jetways, ground elevation and night lighting before enabling Paris city or regional scenery.
- Add surrounding packages individually: Restart and repeat the same test after each addition. If package-priority controls are available, the dedicated airport should take precedence over scenery covering a wider area.
A mistake we see often is installing Aerosoft and Taxi2Gate together in the hope that one package will supply buildings while the other supplies ground textures. Airport replacements are not modular in that way; their exclusions, terrain and object placement conflict.
Why is LFPG missing, doubled, misaligned or slow?
Most LFPG faults can be traced to the wrong package folder, two active airport renditions, incompatible terrain data or excessive traffic at an already complex airport.

Charles de Gaulle combines several large terminal areas with dense surrounding scenery, so the main processor thread can become the limit even when the graphics card is not fully occupied. AI traffic, parked aircraft, service vehicles and road traffic should be the first settings reduced. If pauses occur mainly while turning the camera, texture resolution and memory use deserve attention instead.
Change one variable at a time and repeat the same gate, aircraft, weather and traffic conditions. Otherwise, a quieter traffic spawn or different streaming state can make an ineffective setting change appear to have solved the problem.
