The best-known Cessna Citation Longitude enhancement for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is dakfly0219’s freeware Flight Dynamics Modifications Project, which targets thrust, fuel burn, drag and handling. Useful supporting add-ons include liveries, cockpit textures, camera presets and sound packs. The old standalone Working Title G3000 package is obsolete.
These add-ons enhance the existing Longitude; they do not unlock or supply the aircraft. The base jet must already be installed through the appropriate simulator edition or content entitlement.
Which Citation Longitude enhancements are useful?
The right Longitude mod depends on whether you want corrected aircraft performance or a purely cosmetic change.

The Flight Dynamics Modifications Project is the meaningful choice when the goal is aircraft behaviour rather than appearance. Microsoft substantially revised the stock MSFS 2020 Longitude through Aircraft and Avionics Update 1, however, so a launch-era performance package can overwrite newer official values and make the aircraft worse. Do not combine two flight-model or performance mods.

Is the Working Title G3000 mod still needed?
No. The separate Working Title G3000 package formerly used with the Longitude should be removed from an updated MSFS 2020 installation.
The real Longitude uses Garmin G5000 avionics, but the original community download carried the G3000 project name because the implementations shared a common foundation. Working Title’s G3000/G5000 work and major Longitude systems improvements were incorporated into MSFS 2020 through Aircraft and Avionics Update 1. Keeping the old standalone package can cause blank displays, conflicting flight plans or broken avionics behaviour.

Do MSFS 2020 Longitude mods work in MSFS 2024?
Assume a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Longitude mod is incompatible with MSFS 2024 unless its developer explicitly identifies a 2024-compatible release.
Liveries may require only small changes, but that does not guarantee compatibility: model aliases, materials and package dependencies can still differ. Flight-dynamics, avionics, cockpit and sound modifications carry a much higher risk because they replace aircraft configuration or system files. Never copy an entire 2020 Longitude enhancement collection into 2024 and troubleshoot it as one unit.
How should I install and test a Longitude mod?
Install one functional enhancement at a time so any conflict has an obvious cause.
- Confirm the base aircraft. Load the unmodified Longitude and verify that its displays, controls and engines work before adding anything.
- Check the intended simulator. Look for an explicit MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 compatibility statement and any warning concerning Aircraft and Avionics Update 1.
- Remove obsolete packages. Delete the old standalone Working Title G3000 mod and disable any other Longitude performance, camera or sound replacement that edits the same area.
- Install at the correct folder depth. For a conventional PC Community package, files such as
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsonshould not be buried inside an extra duplicate folder. Use the same payload, fuel, weather and airport before and after installing a performance mod. Compare take-off acceleration, climb, cruise fuel flow and approach handling rather than judging it from one uncontrolled flight.
Why is my Longitude enhancement not working?
A nested installation folder, incompatible simulator version or conflict with another aircraft override causes most failures.
- Black or frozen displays: remove the legacy Working Title package and other avionics overrides first.
- No visible change: inspect the folder depth and confirm the mod was designed for the installed Longitude model.
- Unrealistic thrust or fuel burn: disable every performance package, test the stock post-update aircraft, then add only one compatible mod.
- Pink or missing textures: the livery probably has a broken texture fallback, missing dependency or incompatible material definition.
- Long loading or crashes: return to the unmodified aircraft and restore packages individually until the conflicting add-on is identified.
Can Longitude mods be installed on Xbox or PlayStation?
Loose PC Community-folder mods cannot be installed on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 consoles.
Console users are limited to compatible aircraft add-ons distributed through the simulator’s in-sim Marketplace or official updates.
