At Canyonlands Regional, both published approaches serve the same runway end, leaving the opposite end without a published instrument approach. The RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provide two distinct forms of guidance, but not a choice of arrival direction.
The 7,360 ft asphalt runway is markedly less restrictive in length and surface than the 2,121 ft gravel cross-runway, which limits the range of aircraft able to make practical use of the latter.
