Instrument coverage at Wokal Field

Wokal Field’s four published approaches are evenly divided between RNAV (GPS) and VOR, but they serve only two of the four runway ends. Instrument procedure coverage is therefore concentrated on half of the available runway directions rather than spread across both ends of both strips. The two runways are almost identical in length, so changing alignment does not provide a meaningfully longer runway.

Nearby and VFR coverage

Nearby procedure coverage is uniformly thinner. KOLF has the broadest neighbouring set at four charts, while M75, PO1 and 9S2 each have three. The Billings Sectional adds the wider VFR chart context that airport-level diagrams and instrument procedures do not provide.
