Glacier Park International’s six approach plates serve three of its four runway ends, leaving one end without a published instrument approach. The mix of ILS, localiser, VOR and RNAV (GPS) procedures provides several forms of guidance rather than relying on GPS alone. With one departure procedure and one obstacle departure procedure, the chart set is weighted towards arrivals.
Runway 02/20 provides 5,497 ft more length than 12/30, so the available runway changes sharply with alignment; the shorter runway is not a like-for-like substitute. Nearby Polson and Libby each have four charts, while Ronan has five, making all three markedly thinner in published procedure coverage than GPI. The Great Falls sectional adds regional visual-navigation context not provided by the terminal procedures.
