Marfa Municipal’s two approaches both serve a single runway end, despite the field having three runway alignments. The RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provide different forms of guidance to that end, but no published approach reaches any of the other five ends. The runway layout is therefore much broader than the instrument coverage. Runway 13/31 offers 6,203 ft of asphalt and 04/22 offers 5,309 ft, while the 2,825 ft dirt 09/27 is less than half the length of the longest runway.
Alpine-Casparis Municipal has the broadest nearby chart set, with six charts against Marfa’s four.
