Instrument coverage

Cox Field has three fixed-wing runway alignments, but its instrument coverage reaches only two of the six runway ends. The two published approaches are both RNAV (GPS), giving one procedure to each served end rather than multiple approach types or options. Runway 17/35 provides 1,378 ft more length than either of the other two runways, while the airport diagram shows how all three alignments and the helipad fit together.

Regional chart context

Nearby procedure coverage is consistently modest. Stan Stamper Municipal, Sulphur Springs Municipal and Mc Curtain County Regional each have four charts, close to Cox Field’s five-chart set; Franklin County and Commerce Municipal are thinner with three apiece. The Dallas–Ft Worth and Memphis sectionals add broader visual navigation context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
