Joslin Field/Magic Valley Regional has six instrument approach charts, but they serve only two of its four runway ends. The mix of ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provides several forms of guidance without broadening coverage to the other two ends. With one departure procedure, the chart set is weighted much more heavily towards arrivals.
The marked difference between the 8,704 ft Runway 08/26 and the 3,224 ft Runway 12/30 makes the longer runway the only option for aircraft requiring more than 3,224 ft. Nearby procedure coverage is much thinner: Jerome County has the broadest set at five charts, while Gooding Municipal and Burley Municipal each have four. The Salt Lake City sectional adds wider visual-navigation context beyond the runway-specific terminal procedures.
