Ralph Wien Memorial’s five approach plates serve two runway ends and span ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures. This gives the field both precision and non-precision approach coverage rather than relying on a single navigation method. The 6,300 ft asphalt runway is substantially longer than the 3,876 ft gravel runway, so the available distance and surface differ markedly between the two alignments.
Deering’s six-chart set is closest in breadth to Ralph Wien Memorial’s coverage. Bob Baker Memorial has five charts, while Robert/Bob/Curtis Memorial and Noatak each have four, making their published procedure sets thinner.
