Repaint — for the sim’s default aircraft, nothing else needed

Repaint textures for the default Bell 206 in a generic police blue and white livery, awaiting the addition of your lettering or other markings denoting the law enforcement jurisdiction of your choice. Or you can fly her as is. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

Installation:

  1. Copy and paste (or drag and drop) the enclosed "texture.Police Blue" folder into your FSX default Bell 206B folder (located in Simobjects/Rotorcraft).
  2. Copy and paste the enclosed [fltsim.X] info. found below into your default 206B's "aircraft.cfg" file, remembering to change the "X" in [fltsim.X] to the next number in line among your 206B repaints. Then click 'file', then click 'save'.
  3. Go fly your beat, officer!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D Repaint

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

    Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.

  3. Update aircraft.cfg

    Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
