FSX London Heathrow Terminal 5 Scenery

London Heathrow Terminal 5 scenery brings Terminal 5A, 5B, and 5C to life with detailed architecture, the newer control tower, and signature “HSBC” jetways for convincing gate operations in FSX. It integrates smoothly with popular AI traffic and Airbus A32X flights, enhancing the Terminal 5 apron with authentic airport atmosphere.

This scenery for London Heathrow Airport contains realistic renditions of terminal 5A, 5B, and 5C, as well as the new control tower. Also features the "HSBC" jetways found at the real Heathrow airport. Works well with the Project Airbus A32X series and the World Of AI British Airways Traffic (and other airlines too).

Installation:

  • Copy the contents of the Heathrow/Scenery folder to to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X/ Addon Scenery/ Scenery folder.
  • Copy the contents of the Heathrow/Texture folder to to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X/ Addon Scenery/ Texture folder.

Known Issues:

The jetways seem to disappear on and off at first. Do not worry this always happens when FS tries to load model because the textures on them are embedded into the model. Just move the camera a little bit and they will come back. You may need to do this a few times. I have no Idea how to fix this.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I would like to thank everyone, involved in the making, and distribution of such outstanding freeware content.

It has enhanced my sim pilot experience, to another level. Without the dedication, and fortitude of all concerned, flying the sim world, would become tedious and eventually, boring.

Your site is fantastic, easy to navigate, and the wealth of information is beyond reproach. Thank you, for the service, dedication, and experience.

    All the best

The scenery add-on at Heathrow for Terminal 5 scenery is really good but it is affecting my ILS and the runways used. ATC will only ever direct you to land or depart from runways 27L or 27R. Even if there is a very strong wind coming from the east, I cannot get to runways 09L and 9R. This is fine when I take away this scenery. What's the problem?
