FS2004 Grumman Goose

Grumman G-21 Goose repaints bring two authentic paint schemes to the classic amphibian, adding crisp exterior textures and a distinctive presence in the virtual hangar for FS2004. Requires Lynn and Bill Lyons’ original Grumman Goose base aircraft, with support for aircraft reflections to highlight the finish in flight and on the water.

I wish to thank and pay tribute to Lynn and Bill Lyons for all the great high quality work they do for us simmers. Thanks also for the permission to allow me to publish my repaints.

Installation:

Copy the texture folders into: X/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/G21

Go to your: 'xxxxxFlight Simulator 9/Aircraft/G21' and back up your Aircraft.cfg file by simply copying and pasting it in the same folder and open the original using Note Pad.

Open the enclosed Aircraft Listing text and copy paste the content under the last similar entry in your Aircraft.cfg file.

You MUST make sure that the sequence of the entries, ie: [fltsim.0].....and then .....[fltsim.1]......[fltsim.2] That sequence must be maintained. (On the text file, this shows as [fltsim.?] so you remember to change it to fit your set up.

It is as simple as this.

To see the airplane reflections, make sure that in your options, under settings/Display/Aircraft, that reflections are checked on.

How to install this mod

FS2004 add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
