FS2004 Air Atlantique Douglas DC-3 And AI

Air Atlantique’s Douglas DC-3 repaint and AI traffic bring Coventry (EGBE) to life with believable charter activity, using fictional yet realistic flight plans. Designed for the default DC-3 in FS2004, it includes both 32-bit and DXT3 textures for performance flexibility, and stays fully flyable with a detailed virtual cockpit.

Air Atlantique Douglas DC-3 And AI flight plans. Air Atlantique is a charter operation at EGBE in the U.K. Flight plans are fictitious but realistic and will be updated as more aircraft are added. Repaint created by Leanne Boulton for the default DC3 in FS2004. Flight plans created by Leanne Boulton for FS2004. Blank texture paintkit provided by Rob Smith.

Air Atlantique operate a number of charter cargo and passenger services out of EGBE, Coventry, UK.

I have included two separate texture folders for different computer speeds - the texture.airatlantique folder is in 32bit BMP with no MIPS and the texture.airatlantiqueAI is in DXT3 with MIPS. Although these are primarily designed for AI as they are based on the default DC-3 they are perfectly flyable.

To install the aircraft unzip and copy the texture folder of your choice to the default Douglas DC-3 folder. You then need to edit the config file for the DC-3 with the corresponding details as given below.

For faster computers use the texture.airatlantique folder and this entry in your config file - remember to change the xx to the next corresponding number.

description="The Douglas DC-3 revolutionized air transportation and airline service during the 1930s and 1940s. It was a luxury airliner that boasted cabin heat and running water in its on-board lavatory. With the right balance of efficiency, range, speed, and payload, the DC-3 was the first aircraft to earn a profit for its owners just by carrying passengers. The hero of early airlines, a handful of DC-3s are still at work today."

For slower computers use the texture.airatlantiqueAI folder and this entry in your config file - remember to change the xx to the next corresponding number.

The flightplans included are fictional because Air Atlantique is a charter operation and offer booking to flight time of just 1 hour.

To install the flightplans in FS2004 copy the traffic_atlantique.bgl to your Scenery/World/Scenery folder.

I hope you enjoy my work and I look forward to producing more Air Atlantique aircraft and flights in the near future.
