FS2004 AFCAD2 For SimWings LFMD

Updated AFCAD2 airport data refines AI ground flow at SimWings’ Cannes-Mandelieu (LFMD) and Nice Côte d’Azur (LFMN), aligning taxiways, runway use, and parking with the hard-coded scenery for smoother, more realistic traffic behavior. Designed for FS2004, the revised AF2 files improve compatibility with popular AI schedules and traffic packages.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004

For SimWings LFMD (Cannes-Mandelieu, France) and LFMN (Nice/Cote d'Azur, France) packages. By F. Deege.

Both new releases by Sim-Wings contain by default AFCAD-files. Since the taxi and runway lay outs are hard coded in the (extraordinarily) scenery files, the only remaining function of the AFCADs is to control the AI-traffic in a way that it smoothly matches and follows the scenery. As the matching was not 100% (to put it mildly), I set to work to improve the AF2-files.

Here are the results:

AF2_LFMD.bgl for Cannes-Mandelieu
AF2_LFMN.bgl for Nice - Cote d'Azur

Installation:

Move them both to the appropriate directories (e.g. ..\simwings\cannes2004 and ..\simwings\nice2004) overwriting the AF2-files which came with the original packages, but not after you have backed up the originals.

I tested it with both MyTraffic 2004 and Ultimate Traffic. It works fine.

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per readme

FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
