SAAF BAE Hawk 259 Cammo brings a Mirage F1AZ-inspired fictional scheme to the Skysim Hawk, reflecting the South African Air Force Hawk 120 LIFT training role with crisp exterior textures and authentic markings. Designed for FSX, this repaint package requires the payware Skysim Hawk and updates the aircraft selection with a distinctive camouflaged variant.

SAAF repaint of the payware Skysim Hawk. These are only the textures and does not include the aircraft. The SAAF uses the Hawk 120 LIFT for fighter training. This is a fictional paint based on the cammo scheme of former Mirage F1AZ no 227 from 1 Squadron. By Brenden Corlet.

Installation:

This zip file contains only the texture files. You will need to purchase Skysim Hawk.

  • Extract the texture file in this zip file to "Skysim Hawk T.Mk1 FrontSeat" folder located in: FSX/SimObjects/Aircraft.
  • Edit the aircraft.cfg files to add a new [fltsim.x] section. Remember to change "xx" to be the next number in sequence.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D Repaint for Payware Model

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

    Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.

  3. Update aircraft.cfg

    Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
