This is an update for FSX acceleration of the F-86 hard wing (full vr) by Kirk Olsson. I have redone the flight dynamics, changed the vclight, changed the smoke effect, and added or changed gauges as necessary. This aircraft has both 2D and virtual cockpits. This is the whole aircraft. I eliminated the limited vr aircraft as they looked the same as the ones here but had a black rectangle where the gunsight is in the virtual cockpit.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Kirk Olson = beautimous perfection!!! These are not only sooo perfect but extremely fun to fly. I usually do my carrier stuff down at ybbn. Now that I have these, I forgot to do the decks. Fine work!! PAYSON

Superb work, beautiful and very realistic aircraft to fly... except that here again, I can't see through the cockpit... . Again, will be happy to upgrade my rating, which i'd get to ten if there weren't this cockpit glass issue.
