Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004

Texture fixes for the various default Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 paintwork, including virtual cockpits, which can appear blurred as they come in the box, for users without the very latest video cards.

Example of the fixed textures on the default Learjet.​These texture fixes clear up the paintwork to what they should be. Most of the texture fixes are self-installing.

Simply double click on the self install file, and it will install to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\aircraft.

If your game is on a different drive, make sure the install file points to the same path ([Drive]:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\aircraft.....) on the drive your game is on.

How to install this mod

FS2004 aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
