What should I check before installing an ATC add-on?
An offline ATC add-on is the sensible middle ground when you want better instructions without depending on online controller coverage. Confirm that it explicitly supports your edition of FSX, including FSX: Steam Edition where applicable, and the method it uses to communicate with the simulator.
- Check whether it controls only your aircraft or also interacts with AI traffic.
- Decide whether you want keyboard menus, speech recognition or both.
- Check how it handles SIDs, STARs, approaches and vectors.
