Cessna C206H Stationair Fix. A 2D panel/VC gauge fix for use with C206_6RX.ZIP. By Jeff Myers.

README

Once upon a time, there was a wonderful freeware version of the cessna 206 released by Blue Sky Simulations, Roger Bonne & GUIDEE Francois-Denis. A very worthwhile plane that looked and flew great.

Recently, a FSX version of this plane was released by Brian Selb (filename c206_n206rx_v21.zip on AVSIM). This release included a wonderful sound package by Peter Spanakos. Unfortunately, there were no gauges showing up in the VC and the 2D panel included was the default cessna 172. This package provides an appropriate 2D panel and fixes the VC gauge issue. This is the panel and gauge files only!

**Requires c206_n206rx_v21.zip, available at AVSIM**

Installation instructions:

Simply replace the "panel" folder in the original file installed from c206_n206rx_v21.zip with the one provided here. All of the gauge files necessary are included or are already in the FSX gauge folder. This panel includes a 2D panel more appropriate for the 206 (based on one from the original FS2004 version, modified by myself). All of the gauges now show up in the VC, except for the magnetic compass.

Enjoy this wonderful aircraft, it makes a great addition to the FSX hanger now that no cessna heavier than the 172 is included by default.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
