Aero Commander–Meyers 200D brings a fast, four-seat GA classic to FSX with a flight model based on a real aircraft, a fully animated exterior, and a detailed virtual cockpit. Two authentic paint schemes capture the type’s sleek lines and strong airframe, and it requires the Acceleration expansion.

Aero Commander-Meyers 200D. Four seat GA aircraft, originally made by Meyers, then production taken over by Aero Commander. Blessed with a strong airframe, speed, and smooth flying, the Meyers could have competed with any Bonanza type plane, had it better marketing and dealer support. SP-2 Acceleration
AERO COMMANDER-MEYERS 200D
Four seat GA aircraft, origionally made by Meyers, then production taken over by Aero Commander. Blessed with a strong airframe, speed, and smooth flying, the Meyers could have competed with any Bonanza type plane, had it better marketing and dealer support.
THis FSX model is based on a real Meyers 200D, and has two paint schemes, full ani's, and VC.
NOT tested in Vista or DX10.

1)After downloading the zip, locate it, and extract the file to a temp folder.

2)Copy the 200D Folder over to your FSX Aircraft folder.

3)Copy the cab.200d gauges file over to your FSX gauges folder.

NOTAMS:
Main door is SHF e, or use the handle.
Pilot's vent window is SHF e 2
Baggage door is SHF e 3
Sunshade is the / spoiler key. Don't worry, spoiler drag and pitch have been disabled.
Fuel selector sorta works, for LRAO, but not for the AUX tanks.
Assuming default keymapping.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

I'm using FSX SE to fly the 200D. Well-balanced control inputs and overall performance are very good! It has become a favorite to fly! All gauges indicate as expected although the secondary navigation heading gauge lacks an OBS knob. Any suggestions on a fix?

    Very enjoyable plane to fly, responsive, predictable, and a quality product with lots of detail. Nice job Tim.

    I did adjust the hydraulic system in the Aircraft.cfg. Normal pressure was set at 2000.00 that put the needle way above the green arch on the gauge. I adjusted it down to 1300.00. Had no impact on the landing gear but puts the needle in the middle of the green arch.

    Nice little plane. I tweaked the conf file so it will go over 310 knots. However the flaps shoot its nose up..

    this is a great plane for cross country. In FSX-SE i cant seem to get the autopilot to follow the GPS but other than that it is a great plane. Definitely payware quality.
