Photoreal repaint for Tim Conrad's excellent freeware FSX A-1H Skyraider. Be sure to have installed Tim's original Skyraider package ( A-1H.zip ) first in order to use these repaint files.

Depicted here is AD-6(A-1H) 412/AK (BuNo.135326) of VA-176 US Navy aboard CVS-11 USS Intrepid 1966.

INSTALLATION :

1.Find and open your FSX A-1H folder. ( default location = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\A-1H )
2.Copy and paste the original 'texture' folder.
3.Rename this new folder to 'texture.412AK'
4.Unzip all 3 *.dds files plus thumbnail.jpg contained in this zip file into your newly created 'texture.412AK' folder. Click YES at the 'Overwrite ?' prompt.
5.Open your A-1H aircraft.cfg and copy and paste the following underneath the last [fltsim.*] entry :

6. Finally replace the 'X' in [fltsim.X] with the next number in order. Don't forget to save your updated aircraft.cfg.

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme
