FSX Default Lear 45 Engine Smoke Effect

Learjet 45 engine smoke effects add a convincing turbine haze to the default business jet, with correctly placed emitters for both engines and an easy toggle during flight. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it uses the fx_smoke_f6 effect file and a straightforward aircraft.cfg SMOKESYSTEM entry for clean integration.

THANKS:

To the original author of the "fx_smoke_f6" file, whoever you are. And to Microsoft for their Lear 45.

INSTALLATION: Simple!

1. Copy and paste the enclosed "fx_smoke_f6" file into your FSX "Effects" folder. (It's probably there already, so look first).

2. Copy and paste all of the [SMOKESYSTEM] info. below into your FSX default Lear 45 "aircraft.cfg" file. (I pasted mine between the [Radios] and the [keyboard_response] sections with good results).

3. Press your "I" key while flying your default FSX Lear 45 and enjoy a good smoke! (aircraft is located in your menu under 'Bombardier'...like you didn't know that already)!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
