FSX Pic St Loup Airport Scenery

Pic St Loup Airport (LFNL) brings a dedicated glider airfield to life 20 miles north of Montpellier, capturing the character of southern France for soaring and light aircraft operations. Built with native objects for a compact footprint and smooth performance, it adds the previously missing location to FSX with accurate placement and local atmosphere.

This nice place is mostly used by the glider club of the Pic St Loup. It is not available in FSX and neither in the previous version of flight simulator.

Situated about 20 miles, north of Montpellier, in the south of France.

This modest contribution to the world of FS was initiated to answer the frustration expressed by my friend Charlie "Golf34" when gliding down from Clermont Ferrand and in the obligation to do all the way to Montpellier in the absence of LFNL :-)

He, and some other pilots of France Aviation Virtuelle, did help me testing different configurations of that scenery. Thanks to them and to the authors of FSX planner, EZ-Landclass and SceneryShortcut (Abacus) for those superbes development tools.

Using existing objects of FSX, this scenery is small in size and has very little impact on the FPS. Its under my copyright, and should be only freely distributed and in any case never be part of a commercial package.

There is nothing there which could possibly damage your computer or your FS, so I am not taking any responsibility in any possible incident on your machines.

Standart kind of installation:
- unzip the files and folders under your add-on sceney
- declare the scenery

That's it.

Unfortunatly, this scenery is not compatible with previous versions of FS.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
