FSX Merritt Field Scenery

Merritt Field (4PN7) at Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania brings the recently paved private strip to life in FSX with a proper apron, hangars, fuel station, flag, and convincing static vehicles and aircraft. Built from stock objects for easy compatibility, it also overlays roads so the layout looks right whether Ultimate Terrain is installed or not.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Merritt Field (4PN7), Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania (PA). An improved version of the private field located in the Endless Mountains region that was recently paved. Includes added hangars, fuel station, static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

Merritt Field Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Merritt Field. This is a private field located in the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania. It was a grass strip in FSX and also in real life until recently when it was paved. Like most small strips there was nothing at all there in FSX, so I added the apron, the hangars, a fuel station, some static vehicles and airplanes, a flag, and paved the runway.

There are some Ultimate Terrain roads on the field and I layered new roads over top of them, so they will show whether you have UTX or not.

Special thanks to Bob Shisler, Sr. for requesting the field and for all the info he gave me.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the file 4PN7_AFX_JC.bgl and 4PN7_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.

Launch FSX or Prepar3D and use Flights → Load to open the downloaded .pln file. Your aircraft will be positioned at this location.
