Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 support VR on PC. Xbox Series X|S versions do not support VR. On PlayStation 5, only Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 applies, with PSVR2 support arriving through a free update in 2026; MSFS 2020 was never released on PlayStation.
Which VR headsets should flight simmers avoid?
Avoid buying a Windows Mixed Reality headset such as the HP Reverb G2 for a new system unless you deliberately maintain a compatible older Windows installation. Windows Mixed Reality was removed from Windows 11 version 24H2, leaving these headsets without their normal runtime despite their once-excellent cockpit clarity.
