Is 912 nautical miles a realistic operating range?
The 912 nm figure is a maximum-range specification obtained under defined planning assumptions, not a guaranteed distance for every flight. It should not be interpreted as the range available with maximum payload, unfavourable winds and unrestricted high-speed cruise.
Fuel and payload share the aircraft's available useful load. Carrying more passengers or cargo may therefore require less fuel, while a strong headwind reduces the distance covered over the ground before the required reserve is reached. A range calculation must instead use fuel flow and true airspeed from the same cruise setting and altitude. It must then account for climb, descent, wind and reserve fuel.

- Confirm the exact variant. Performance figures for a standard Caravan, an earlier 208B and a Grand Caravan EX are not interchangeable.
