Why does holding the Steam button move the mouse?

Holding the STEAM button while using the right trackpad or stick can invoke Steam Deck's built-in guide-button mouse chord, which is separate from the MSFS controller layout.

This is normal and can provide emergency pointer control. If the trackpad moves the cursor only while STEAM is held, however, the active MSFS layout has not configured that trackpad as a mouse. Set it to As Mouse so cockpit interaction does not depend on holding the system button.
