Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Standard Edition includes 70 flyable aircraft and supplied configurations. The fleet spans airliners, general aviation, business aircraft, helicopters, gliders, historic machines, eVTOLs and specialist work aircraft. Major additions include the Boeing 737 MAX 8, Airbus A330 family, A400M, BelugaXL, CL-415 and Erickson S-64 Aircrane.

Why does the list appear shorter than 70 aircraft?
Microsoft's headline total counts supplied models and configurations, while a family-level list naturally groups some of them together. The A330 family, for example, contains separate A330-200, A330-300 and BelugaXL aircraft, and several utility aeroplanes provide distinct undercarriage, passenger, cargo or mission configurations.
The aircraft selector can also group or separate variants differently after simulator and aircraft-package updates. Liveries alone do not count as additional aircraft.
Are helicopters and gliders included in Standard Edition?
Yes. Standard Edition contains conventional helicopters, an Aircrane, an autogyro and several electric vertical-lift designs; our breakdown of the included MSFS helicopters separates those types clearly.

Why is an included aircraft missing from the selector?
A missing Standard Edition aircraft usually means its package is disabled, has not finished streaming or has been hidden by an aircraft-selector filter.
- Update the simulator: install the available core and aircraft-package updates. Our MSFS 2024 update instructions cover the process and common update failures.
- Check My Library: search for the manufacturer or model and confirm that the package is enabled and available to stream or download.
- Clear selector filters: remove role, aircraft class, favourite and creator filters. A filter left over from Career Mode is a common reason for seeing only part of the fleet.
- Verify the owning profile: use the account that owns Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Standard Edition. Entitlements can appear missing when another console or platform profile is active.
- Restart after changing packages: close and reopen the simulator so its aircraft index is rebuilt.
Do Deluxe and Premium Deluxe replace these aircraft?
No. Deluxe, Premium Deluxe and Aviator build on the Standard fleet rather than replacing it. The extra editions add more aircraft and handcrafted airports; our edition-by-edition comparison shows what each upgrade contributes.
A higher Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 edition does not by itself upgrade a separately purchased copy of MSFS 2024 Standard Edition. The aircraft available in 2024 follow the edition entitlement attached to that version of the simulator.
