Some drivers expose both triggers as one combined, centred axis. That axis can be used for yaw if each trigger moves it in the opposite direction, but remove the right-stick yaw assignment to avoid conflicting inputs. If the triggers appear only as buttons, use a brake-hold command instead of trying to calibrate them as analogue axes.

Do not map throttle to a stick or trigger that springs back when released: the power setting will return with it. Incremental throttle buttons are slower but far more controllable.

Which Xbox buttons should I assign first?

Can I fly X-Plane 12 properly with an Xbox controller?

An Xbox controller is adequate for general aviation, basic instrument flying and casual airliner operations, especially when the mouse handles cockpit switches and autopilot controls.
