Procedure coverage

Artesia Municipal’s three published approaches are all RNAV (GPS) procedures, serving three of the four runway ends. One end therefore has no published instrument approach, and there are no conventional or precision procedures in the current set. No airport diagram is published.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The two runway alignments provide lengths of 6,800 ft and 6,132 ft. For runway-length planning, any requirement above 6,132 ft leaves 04/22 as the only candidate. Nearby Roswell Air Center has substantially broader chart coverage, while Cavern City Air Terminal also has more published material; Lea County/Zip Franklin Memorial has a similarly thin set. The Albuquerque Sectional adds broader VFR navigation context around Artesia that is not supplied by the instrument procedure sheets.
