Approaches across both runways

Chadron Municipal’s six instrument approach charts serve all four ends of runways 03/21 and 12/30, distributing coverage across the full two-runway layout rather than concentrating it on one direction. RNAV (GPS) accounts for four procedures, alongside ILS, localiser and NDB approach types. Runway 03/21 provides 1,598 ft more length than 12/30; that difference separates aircraft able to use both alignments from those whose runway-length requirement rules out the shorter runway.

Regional chart coverage

Alliance Municipal has the closest comparable procedure collection and is marginally broader than Chadron’s. Pine Ridge, Modisett, Hot Springs Municipal and Gordon Municipal all have appreciably thinner chart coverage. The Cheyenne Sectional supplies the wider VFR context not covered by the terminal procedure set.
