Forest City’s three approaches serve only two of its four runway ends. With two RNAV (GPS) procedures and one VOR procedure, satellite-based coverage forms the majority while retaining one conventional option. At least one served end therefore has more than one approach choice. No airport diagram is published.
Runway 15/33 is more than twice the length of 09/27, concentrating the field’s greater runway-length capability on a single alignment; any use requiring more than 2,707 ft points to 15/33. Among nearby fields, Mason City has twice Forest City’s chart coverage, while Albert Lea, Algona and Clarion have similarly sized but slightly thinner sets. Blue Earth’s coverage is the sparsest. The Chicago and Omaha sectionals add broader VFR route-planning coverage beyond these instrument procedures.
