Approach coverage across both parallels

Mc Connell AFB’s procedure set serves all four ends of its two parallel runways, rather than concentrating instrument approaches on one alignment. The mix of ILS, RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures provides several approach forms across a field whose two strips are effectively equal in length: only seven feet separates them at roughly 12,000 ft. For runway-length planning, neither parallel offers a meaningful dimensional advantage.

Local chart context

Among nearby fields, Wichita Dwight D Eisenhower NTL has broader published chart coverage, while Colonel James Jabara is the next most extensively covered. Cessna Acft Fld, Beech Factory and Cook Airfield have markedly thinner sets. The Kansas City and Wichita sectional charts add wider VFR context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
