Kit Carson County’s four published approaches serve both ends of runway 15/33, so instrument procedure coverage is not confined to one arrival direction. The mix of two RNAV (GPS) procedures, a localiser and an NDB procedure gives the set both satellite-based and conventional forms of guidance. With only one 5,199 ft runway, every approach ultimately uses the same strip and alignment.
Among the listed nearby airports, Renner Field/Goodland Municipal has the only broader chart set. Cheyenne County Municipal and Wray Municipal are somewhat thinner, while Tribune Municipal and Yuma Municipal have half as many published charts as Kit Carson County. The Wichita Sectional adds wider visual-navigation context around Burlington beyond the procedure-specific instrument material.
