Kimble County’s instrument set is tightly focused: one RNAV (GPS) and one VOR procedure both serve a single runway end. This provides two navigation methods, but no published approach to any other end. The 5,004 ft asphalt runway offers more than twice the length of the 2,255 ft turf runway, making 17/35 the only runway with more than 2,255 ft available.
Nearby procedure coverage is similarly compact. Mason County and Sonora Muni match Kimble County at three charts, Edwards County and Curtis Fld have four each, while Gillespie County has the broadest nearby set at five. The San Antonio Sectional adds the wider VFR depiction absent from the approach and minima sheets.
