Approach coverage across both runways

Blue Grass has instrument approaches serving all four runway ends, so coverage is not confined to the longer 04/22 runway. The seven plates combine ILS and localiser guidance with RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, providing several forms of instrument guidance across the two runway alignments. At 7,004 ft, runway 04/22 provides 3,004 ft more available length than runway 09/27, making the choice of runway significant for aircraft requiring more distance.

Nearby and VFR chart coverage

Capital City and Central Kentucky Regional have the broadest nearby procedure sets, while Cynthiana-Harrison County has notably thinner coverage. Georgetown-Scott County Regional and Stuart Powell Field sit between those levels. The Cincinnati and St Louis sectional charts add wider VFR route-planning and visual-reference context beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
